Leaking tanks, gas leaks, and no-hot-water emergencies. Call us for fast response across Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, and surrounding communities.
Not every water heater problem is an emergency, but some situations need immediate attention to prevent property damage or safety hazards. A leaking tank that is actively putting water on your floor is an emergency — especially if the water heater is in a closet, attic, or elevated location where the water can damage ceilings, walls, and flooring below. A gas water heater that smells like gas is an emergency. No hot water in a home with infants, elderly residents, or anyone with medical needs that require hot water is an emergency.
Turn off the water supply to the water heater. There is usually a valve on the cold water pipe directly above the unit. If you cannot find it, turn off the main water supply to the house. If the water heater is electric, turn off the breaker labeled for the water heater at your electrical panel. If it is gas, turn the gas valve on the unit to the OFF position. Do not attempt to move the water heater.
If you smell gas, do not flip any electrical switches, light any flames, or use your phone inside the house. Leave the home immediately and call your gas utility's emergency line first, then call us. Gas leaks are dangerous and the utility company should confirm it is safe to re-enter before any repair work begins.
Check the circuit breaker for an electric unit or the pilot light for a gas unit before calling. A tripped breaker or blown-out pilot light can be reset without a service call. If the breaker trips again after resetting, or the pilot will not stay lit, that is when to call us.
When you call for emergency service, we prioritize your call and dispatch a technician as quickly as possible. Our trucks carry common replacement parts, heating elements, thermocouples, gas valves, and T&P valves so most emergency repairs can be completed in one visit. If the water heater needs to be fully replaced, we work to get a new unit installed the same day whenever stock allows.
We respond to water heater emergencies throughout our entire service area: Sarasota, Siesta Key, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, Palmetto, Parrish, Apollo Beach, Riverview, Wimauma, Wesley Chapel, Ellenton, Sun City Center, Ruskin, and Temple Terrace.
